Our Take

The unlit version of National Tree Company's Kingswood Fir Slim. Same 1,075 branch tips and premium build quality, but without pre-strung lights. This is the choice for buyers who want specific LED colors or smart lighting. The 30-inch width and hinged construction are identical to the pre-lit model.

Budget Pick:Great quality without breaking the bank

What We Like

  • National Tree Company build quality
  • 1,075 tips — full for a slim tree
  • Choose your own lighting style
  • Same premium construction as pre-lit version
  • Lower price than pre-lit model

What Could Be Better

  • No lights included
  • Wrapping lights on a slim tree can be tricky
  • Still more expensive than budget brands

Common Questions

How many lights do I need for this slim tree?

Plan for 300-400 lights. A slim tree needs fewer lights than a full tree since the branches do not extend as far.

Is the unlit version worth saving money over the pre-lit?

If you have specific lighting preferences or already own light strands, yes. Otherwise, the pre-lit version saves time.
